Schoolgirl crushed under train, rail line blocked

A schoolgirl was crushed under the wheels of a train in Mazargate area of Rosulpur station Atrai upazila of Comilla Adarsha Sadar Upazila.

The deceased was known was Mim, 15, a student of class nine in Rosulpur High School.

Local sources said the victim was crushed under the wheels of the train while crossing the rail line in the area around 9:30am. Later, protesting the incident, students of the school blocked rail line.

Cumilla railway station police outpost In-charge Mostafa Kamal said the body was sent to Cumilla medical college hospital for autopsy.

Details can be said later after investigation, the policeman added.
