Two students killed in accident on way to mosque

Two students were killed in a collision between a motorbike and an autorikcshaw in Sreebardi upazila of Sherpur district on Friday noon. 

The accident took place when they were going to a mosque for Jumma prayers.

The deceased were identified as Hridoy, 19, son of Jahangir Alam, and Foysal Mia, 17, son of Tara Mia, both were residents of Kurikahania village under the upazila.

According to locals, Hridoy and Foysal were going to a mosque at nearby riding on a motorcycle. On the way, they collided head-on with a batter-operated autorickshaw, leaving them critically injured. Locals rescued them and took to Sherpur Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared them dead.

Another person has been injured in the accident, who has been taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
