Female body washes ashore on Cox`s Bazar beach

Police recovered the body of a young woman, aged approximately 18 to 20, that washed ashore at Kalatali Point of Cox's Bazar beach.

Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Quoting locals, police said a child first spotted the body floating in the tidal waters at Kalatali Point's Memberghata area. Later, on information, a police team recovered the body around 9:00 pm on Wednesday (May 22).

Cox’s Bazar Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Rakibujjaman confirmed the matter.
