Waterlogging caused by Remal: Woman buried after 3 days

An old woman named Urful Begum has been buried after three days due to waterlogging caused by cyclone storm Remal’s tidal surge in Bagerhat district.

She was buried keeping in a wooden box under water on Wednesday (May 29).

With the help of locals, the relatives completed her burial ceremony.

 Urful Begum, (80), wife of Hosem Ali Howladar at Payalatala village of Baruikhali union under Morelganj upazila, died due to old age complications last Sunday night. 

As the entire area was under water at that time, the relatives were worried about her burial. The body was kept hanging in their house.
