Fire breaks out at Ukhiya Rohingya camp again

A fire has again broken out at a Rohingya camp at Ukhiya upazila of Cox’s Bazar. Seven firefighting units rushed to the spot and started working to control the blaze.
The fire originated at the Tanzimarkhola Rohingya Camp No. 13 in Palankhali Union around 12:15pm on Saturday (June 1).
The cause of the fire and reports of casualties are yet to be confirmed.
Confirming the matter, Cox’s Bazar Fire Service and Civil Defense Deputy Assistant Director Atish Chakma said details regarding the fire will be briefed later.
Earlier on May 24, a fire broke out at the same Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar’s Ukhiya upazila and burnt around 250 houses and shops to ashes.
