Mother-son murder: Child Rafi’s severed head still untraced

The severed head of 11-month-old son Abdullah Hel Rafi, who was killed along with his mother in Bogura, has not yet been found.
Police are yet to recover the head until 2 pm on Monday (June 3). The members of the law enforcement agencies are conducting an operation in the Karatoa river to recover the child’s head.
Meanwhile, Asadul Islam, Asha Moni’s father, has filed a case naming her husband Azizul Haque and Azizul’s father Hamidul Haque and accusing 2-3 unknown persons over slaughtering wife Asha Moni and son Abdullah Hel Rafi to death.
Shahjahanpur Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Hasan Hafizur Rahman said, “Two accused in the case have been arrested. In the meantime, Azizul confessed to killing his wife and son by slaughtering their throats during the primary interrogation.”
“Azizul said that he cut off Rafi’s head and dumped it in the Karatoa river. The head still remains untraced after long search. The operation is going on in the river to get the head,” added the police officer.
Earlier, police recovered the throat-slit bodies of a woman and her 11-month-old son Abdullah Hel Rafi from a room of Shuvechha residential hotel in Banani area of Bogura city around 12pm yesterday.
