Section 144 imposed in Dhunat upazila

Local administration has imposed Section 144 in Shimul High School ground of Dhunat upazila of Bogura district as two upazila chairmen candidates called a meeting there at the same time.

Dhunat Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Ashikh Khan declared the emergency order through loudspeaker on Monday to maintain law and order situation.

The order will remain in force from Monday morning to evening.

All kinds of public gatherings, rally and procession have been prohibited there apprehending possible clash.

According to locals, Chairman Candidates Abdul Hai Khokon and TIM Nurunnabi called the meeting at the same venue and time.
The fourth phase upazila polls will be held in Dhunat, Sherpur and Nandigram.
