134 BGP, military personnel sent back to Myanmar

Bangladesh sent back the 134 Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGP) and military personnel to their country on Sunday (June 9).

Meanwhile, 45 Bangladeshis have returned to the country after serving different prison terms in Myanmar.

The handover process started at Nunier Chara BIWTA Jetty base in Cox's Bazar this morning. In the meantime, the concerned officials of the two countries attended.

Earlier, 134 BGP members and army personnel were taken to the BIWTA Ghat using four buses under tight security around 7:00am.
