3 of a family die in Sylhet landslide

The rescue team of the army recovered the bodies of three members of a family after a large chunk of earth collapsed in the Chamelibagh area of Sylhet city.
The deceased were known as Karim Uddin, his wife Ruzi Begum, and their six-month old baby Tanim.
The rescuers recovered the bodies around 12:00pm on Monday (June 10).
Earlier, five people went missing when a mound collapsed over house number 89 in road number 2 of Chamelibagh residential area around 6am today. On information, police and fire service rushed to the spot and rescued two people.
Sylhet city corporation’s ward number 35 councilor Jahangir Alam said although two people were rescued safely but, the bodies of three others were recovered later.
