13km tailback on Dhaka-Tangail highway

A 13-km long traffic jam has been created on the Dhaka-Tangail highway due to increased traffic pressure.

The congestion was created early in the morning (June 12) from Tangail Sadar’s Rabna bypass to Analiabari of kalihati upazila on the highway.

Elenga Highway Police Outpost in-charge Mir Sajedur Rahman said the construction work of four-lane from Elenga to the Bridge on the highway, is underway.

Besides, the reckless driving has caused traffic jam on the highways. Police are working to ease the traffic jam. The traffic will be normal soon, he added.
