Couple slaughtered in Ramu

Miscreants slaughtered a couple when they were in sleep in Ramu upazila of Cox’s Bazar early Wednesday (June 19).

The incident took place at about 3am in Boughat Uporer Khil area.

The deceased were Nur Mohammad, 28, and his wife Rubi Akter, 19.

Eidgor Union Parishad chairman Firoz Bhutto said, “We have heard that a man and his wife were slaughtered at Boughat Uporer Khil area.”

Ramu Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Taher Dewan confirmed the incident.
