MP Anar murder: 2 accused arrested in Khagrachari

Dhaka Metropolitan DB police on Wednesday (June 26) arrested two accused for their alleged involvement in the murder case of ruling party MP Anwarul Azim Anar.

The detainees are known as Faisal and Mostafiz.

Several sources from Khagrachari district DB police said that a drive led by DB Additional Commissioner Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid was conducted in the remote hilly area of Ramgarh Upazila of Khagrachari district today. Meanwhile, two accused were arrested. Details will be announced later through a press conference.

Earlier on May 12, MP Anwarul Azim Anar went to India for treatment. On May 13, he was killed in a flat in Sanjeeva Gardens, Newtown area of Kolkata.
