Young woman gang-raped on moving train, 3 held

A young woman has been raped allegedly on the Chattogram-bound Udayan Express train from Sylhet.

Railway police arrested three employees of a catering company on charge of the rape.

The arrestees are – Md Jamal, 27, Sharif, 28, and Md Rashed, 27.

Sources said that the victim was coming to Chattogram. She got on the train from Bhairab and stayed in the food compartment. Later, the staff of SA corporation, a catering company in the train raped her.

Chattogram divisional railway manager Md Saiful Islam said that the rape survivor will be sent to the One Stop Crisis Centre of Chittagong Medical College Hospital under police custody.
