3 killed in lightning strike in Narail

At least three people were killed and another was injured by lightning strikes in Narail's Sadar upazila on Sunday night (June 30).

The deceased were known as Roton Roy, 55, hailed from Monirampur upazila in Jashore; Nondo Dhali, 50, hailed from Satkhira's Tala upazila, and Miltor Roy, hailed from Khulna.

Sources said they all got out from their house before 25 days for grazing pigs. Three days ago, they came to Ramnagarsor beel in the upazila and stayed there with their pigs. On Saturday night, a lightning struck on them during rain, leaving three of them dead and one other injured. Later, locals sent the injured to Narail Sadar Hospital.

Narail Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sajedur Rahman confirmed the matter.
