Police raid suspected militant den in N’ganj

The Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) of Police has started operation at the four-storey building which was cordoned off, suspecting it a militant hideout in the Barpa area of Rupganj in Narayanganj.

The ATU members started the operation at the building around 1:30 pm on Tuesday (July 2).

Sanwar Hossain, superintendent of police of the Anti-Terrorism Unit, confirmed the development saying that the operation is underway till filing this report at 3:30 pm.

Mahfuzul Alam Russel, Superintendent of Police of Media and Awareness Wing of ATU, said the operation is being conducted at the building owned by Saudi expatriate Zakir Hossain. Details will be briefed after the operation.
