3 bombs recovered from suspected militant den in N’ganj

The Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) and the Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) of Police have recovered three powerful bombs and bomb-making equipment during the operation conducted at the four-storey building which was cordoned off, suspecting it a militant hideout in the Barpa area of Rupganj in Narayanganj.

Later, members of the bomb disposal unit neutralized the bombs.

Sanwar Hossain, superintendent (operation) of police of the Anti-Terrorism Unit, confirmed the development following the operation on Tuesday (July 2).

Earlier around 10 am, law enforcers cordoned off the building owned by Saudi expatriate Zakir Hossain and launched the operation at the building around 1:30 pm.
