Mother, daughter killed in Natore road crash

A woman and her minor daughter were killed in a collision between a microbus and an auto-rickshaw in Lalpur upazila of Natore on Thursday noon.
The accident took place at around 1:30pm on the Lalpur-Bagha regional road in Jamtala area.
The deceased are Rubina Khatun, wife of Mahbub Alam of Udhanpara village in Lalpur upazila, and her daughter Rokeya Khatun.
Quoting locals, officer-in-charge (OC) of Lalpur Police Station Nashim Ahmed said Rokeya Khatun and her daughter were returning to Lalpur by auto-rickshaw from Bagha upazila in Rajshahi after the treatment. They died on the spot,
The official said police have seized the microbus from the spot and legal action is under process in this connection.
