PM pays homage to Bangabandhu 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday (5 July) paid tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara of Gopalganj.

She paid homage by placing a wreath at Bangabandhu’s grave and offered prayers.

After laying the wreath, the Prime Minister stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the architect of independent Bangladesh.

Sheikh Hasina, also President of the Awami League, reached her ancestral home by road crossing the Padma Bridge on Friday afternoon.

The Prime Minister earlier attended a civic rally at Mawa end in Munshiganj, marking the completion of the Padma Bridge construction project.
