Country’s first law university to be established in Madaripur

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq has said that the country’s first law university will be established in Madaripur district.
The minister said this while talking to journalists after visiting several sites in Shibchar upazila of the district on Saturday.
“We have taken a decision to establish two institutions. A proposal has been approved to set up a judicial academy. Besides, a law university will be established on the instructions of the Prime Minister. It will be called Bangladesh Law University. We have planned to set up the university in Shibchar of Madaripur district”, he said.
Law Ministry Joint Secretary Bikash Kumar Saha, Zilla Parishad Chairman Munir Chowdhury, Deputy Commissioner Marufur Rashid Khan, Superintendent of Police Md. Masud Alam, Upazila Chairman Dr. Md. Salim and others were also present.
