Benazir’s luxury duplex bungalow in Narayanganj confiscated

A luxury duplex bungalow of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed in Rupganj of Narayanganj has been confiscated.

At the directive of a court, a team of Narayanganj district administration and Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) sealed the house at around 3:30pm on Saturday.

Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mahmudul Huque, Additional DC Md Shafikur Rahman, Rupganj UNO Md Ahsan Mahmud Russel, ACC Deputy Director Mainul Hossain Raushani, local upazila administration officials and ACC officials were present at that time. 

A notice of confiscation has been hung at the main gate of the bungalow. ACC Deputy Director Mainul Hossain Raushani confirmed the news.

Benazir Ahmed built the house in 2022, and he used to go there and pass night some times.
