Former Juba League leader hacked dead in Khulna

A local leader of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League was stabbed to death by miscreants in Baniakhamar Lohargate area of Khulna Sadar on Monday (July 8).

The deceased was known as Al Amin, 45, son of Jahangir Sheikh. He was former Juba League joint convener of ward number 27.

Police and local sources said that some unidentified miscreants attacked Al Amin with lethal weapon around 9:00pm, leaving him critically injured. Later, he was taken to Khulna medical college hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Khulna Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamal Hossain said investigation is underway in this regard.
