Two school boys drown in Sherpur floodwaters

Two schoolboys drowned in floodwaters in Kamarer Char union of Sherpur Sadar on Thursday afternoon (July 11).

The deceased were identified as Sumon, son of Amjad Hossain, and Shuvon, son of Mohir Uddin. Both were students of Class 8 of Kamarerchar High School.

Police and local sources said that the two boys went to take a bath in flood water after playing football. At one stage, they went missing. Later, on information fire service rescuers recovered the bodies of the victims.

Sherpur Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Emdadul Haque confirmed the matter.
