‘Entities who opposed independence involved in quota reform movement’

Law Minister Anisul Huq has said entities who opposed Bangladesh’s independence and conspired to assassinate Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman are involved in the quota reform movement.

The minister made the remark while talking to journalists at Akhaura Railway Junction in Brahmanbaria on Friday.

“I cannot deny that the same entities who opposed Bangladesh’s independence and conspired to assassinate Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman might be involved in these conspiracies to some extent. This is understood by both us and the public”, he said.

He also urged the general students to come back from the movement and respect the court order.

The minister also warned that legal actions would be taken to ensure public safety.
