Walton going to get gold medal for contribution to export earnings

Country’s electronics giant ‘Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC’ is going to get a gold medal for its outstanding performance in the country’s export earnings.
The government will award 77 exporters with the National Export Trophy on Sunday (July 14) for their outstanding performance in the country's export earnings for the fiscal year of 2021-22.
The award will be given to those who brought the highest amount of export proceeds in the country.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to handover the trophy at a programme at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital at 10.30am.
State Minister for Commerce Ahasanul Islam Titu made the announcement at a press conference on Saturday at Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) Building in the city.
Commerce secretary Md Selim Uddin and Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) vice chairman Md Anwar Hossain were present at the conference.
The recognition will be given in three categories -- gold, silver and bronze. Some 28 firms have been named for gold awards, 27 for silver and the rest 21 for bronze awards.
