One killed in BRUR clash 

A student was killed in a clash between quota protesters, BCL men and police in Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) on Tuesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Abu Said, a student of the English Department, session 2019-29, of the university.

Quota protesters brought out a procession at around 1:00pm from Khamor More area and tried to enter the campus.

The clash took place when police and BCL men obstructed them to enter campus.

Police fired 200 rounds of bullets to disperse the students.

At least 50 people including three newsmen were injured in the clash. Among them, four students with serious injured have been admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
