Abu Sayed laid to rest in Rangpur

Abu Sayeed, 25, one of the coordinators and a student at Begum Rokeya University in the northern Rangpur district, who was killed in police firing on Tuesday, was laid to rest on Wednesday (July 17).
He was buried at his family graveyard following a namaz-e-janaza at Jafarpara Madrasa playground at Babanpur village under Madankhali union in Pirganj upazila at 9am.
Earlier, his body reached the village at 2am on Tuesday amid tight police security. Thousands of people joined the namaz-e-janaza.
Abu Sayed, also one of the organizers of the quota reform movement, was injured as police fired rubber bullets to resist a group of protesters entering the BRU campus at yesterday noon.
