There is no freedom fighter’s quota anymore: Home Minister

Mentioning the court verdict, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that there is no freedom fighter’s quota anymore. Now 98 percent are kept for talented people.

The minister made the assertion while addressing reporters after a view exchange meeting at the office of Bogura Deputy Commissioner on Thursday (July 25).

He said that in the verdict, quotas are kept for 93 percent merit, 5 percent freedom fighters, 1 percent minorities and 1 percent for disabled people. The most mentionable matter is - our sons and daughters are over 30 years old. So, freedom fighter quota is no more valid here. Therefore, 98 percent is for the merit now.

The minister also said that those who always wanted to make Bangladesh an anarchy country, they are all have come together and wreaked havoc with this quota movement.
