Financial aid given to Abu Sayeed`s family

Financial assistance of Tk7.5 lakh has been provided to the family of late student Abu Sayeed who was killed during the recent quota reform movement.

Begum Rokeya University (BRU) proctor Shariful Islam Pirganj in Rangpur around 10:30 am on Friday (July 26) and handed over the cheque to Abu Sayeed's parents.

Abu Sayeed was 12th batch student of the university's English department.

After getting the financial assistance, Sayeed’s father Makbul Hossain said that Abu Sayeed was my heart. My family would run on his earnings. I have lost my child. There is no consolation for this grief.

BRU proctor Shariful Islam said the university administration is keeping contact with Abu Sayeed's parents following the instructions of the Vice-Chancellor. VC sir himself is taking care after the family. He promised to stay with the family. As a part of this, the financial assistance has been provided today. It will continue.
