Motorcyclist killed in Bogura road crash

A motorcyclist was killed after being crushed by a truck at Santahar in Adamdighi upazila of Bogura district.

The incident took place on the Bogura-Naogaon regional road in the upazila around 10pm on Sunday (July 28).

The deceased was identified as Tuhin, 18, son of Shimul.

According to locals, the incident occurred when a speedy truck hit and ran over Tuhin’s motorcycle from its behind when he was going to have his dinner riding on the bike on Sunday night, leaving him dead on the spot.

Adamdighi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rajesh Kumar Chakrabarty confirmed the news, adding that a case has been filed with the police station in this regard.

Police seized the truck, but its driver escaped from the spot, the OC added.
