Rohingya youth shot dead in Ukhiya camp

A Rohingya youth was shot dead by miscreants in a refugee camp in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar on Wednesday (July 31).

The deceased was known as Syed Karim, 37. He was dweller of Kutupalang-4 Rohingya camp B-5 block.

Wishing anonymity, a Rohingya leader said two armed groups started gunfight early morning. Meanwhile, around 20 rounds of bullets were fired. Later, the Rohingya found dead in the area.

Ukhiya police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamim Hossain said the body was sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar hospital for autopsy.
