Several prisoners flee Kushtia district jail

Several prisoners fled from the Kushtia District Jail around 2:30 pm on Wednesday (August 7).

On information, several teams of Bangladesh Army rushed the spot and brought the situation under control.

Jail Super Abdul Barek said, “Several prisoners have fled from the jail and many others attempt to flee. Several rounds of blank shots were fired to bring the situation under control.”

Lt Col Muhammad Mahbub Alam Sikder said, “We have sent several teams of our force to the jail. Situation is now normal. No casualties have been reported.”
