Boat capsize in Teknaf: 31 bodies of Rohingyas recovered

At least 31 bodies washed ashore at a beach in Teknaf after a boat carrying Rohingyas from Myanmar capsized in the Bay of Bengal on Tuesday.
Local sources said that the tragedy occurred when Rohingyas were attempting to enter Bangladesh through the Naf River and Bay of Bengal on two boats due to heavy wave and stormy weather.
Later, locals recovered the bodies. Among the dead are -13 women, 15 children and three men.
Teknaf upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Md Adnan Chowdhury said we have received the news about the recovery of the body through the local representatives and residents. Later, arrangements were made to bury the bodies through public representatives.
Teknaf Battalion (BGB-2) commander lieutenant colonel Md Mahiuddin Ahmed said if any Rohingya tries to enter Bangladesh then they will be pushed back.
