Kashimpur High-Security jail superintendent withdrawn

The superintendent of Kashimpur High-Security Central Jail Subrata Kumar Bala has been withdrawn over the riot and escape of inmates from the jail.

Subrata himself confirmed this to the media.

Main Uddin has been appointed as the new superintendent of Kashimpur High-Security Central Jail on Thursday (August 8) morning.

Earlier, on Tuesday afternoon, a total of 209 prisoners have fled after taking prison guards hostage during a demonstration in Kashimpur High Security Jail in Gazipur. Six people were killed in the firing by prison guards during the demonstration.
