Two prison guards suspended over inmate’s death

Two prison guards have temporary been suspended following the death of an inmate named Baharam Badsh in Rangpur District Jail.

Two prison guards are Motaleb and Shajahan.

Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Mobasher Hasan confirmed the mattar.

A man was killed and many  injured in a clash between two groups of inmates at Rangpur Central Jail early Friday.

Sources said prison guards fired shots to bring the situation under control around 12.30pm on Friday.
