Ex-lawmaker MA Latif on 3-day remand

A court in Chattogram has placed former lawmaker MA Latif on a three-day remand in a case filed under Explosive Substances Act.
Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Dev granted the three-day remand prayer following a remand petition by the Double Mooring police on Saturday.
Earlier, Double Mooring police submitted a petition seeking seven-day remand for questioning. Meanwhile, lawyer of the accused filed a plea for cancelling the remand. After hearing from both sides, the Magistrate granted the three-day remand for questioning.
