Tk 7.22cr found in Pagla mosque’s donation boxes

The authorities have collected Tk 7,22,13,046 after opening the donation boxes at the historic Pagla Mosque in Kishoreganj. 

Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner and Pagla Mosque Committee President Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter on Saturday (August 17). 

Alongside local currency, Dollar, Pound, Riyal, Dinar, Ringgit and gold ornaments were found in the donation boxes. 

A team of 350 people joined the counting process. The nine boxes at the mosque were opened on Saturday morning. 

Earlier, on April 20, the authorities found cash Tk record 7.78 crore in donation boxes in the mosque.
