Kaptai Lake banging bridge submerged

The hanging bridge in Rangamati has been submerged due to the rise in the water level of Kaptai Lake.
Rangamati Tourism Authority temporarily banned crossing the hanging bridge on Friday morning.
Rangamati Tourism Corporation Manager Alok Bikash Chakma said “The bridge was submerged on Thursday night. We have banned tourists from moving on the bridge since Friday morning.”
Baghaichari upazila has been flooded. About 10,000 people are trapped in the water. However, the water has started to recede from Friday morning.
The water level in Kaptai Lake was recorded 105.84 MSL (Mean Sea Level) on Friday morning.
