Maritime ports asked to hoist signal 3

Patuakhali district is receiving continuous heavy rain due to the influence of the low pressure created over the northwest Bay and adjoining southern part of Bengal.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) advised the four maritime ports of the country to hoist local cautionary signal number 3.

The BMD issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (August 25).

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice, the BMD said.
