Prof Niaz Ahmed to become DU VC

Niaz Ahmed Khan, a professor of the department of development studies, is going to be appointed the new vice-chancellor of Dhaka University. 

A gazette notification will be issued on Tuesday.

Prof Khan is currently serving as the pro vice-chancellor of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) alongside his academic responsibilities at Dhaka University.

Earlier, on August 10, DU VC Prof ASM Maksud Kamal resigned from his post.
