55 acres of forest land occupied by Hasan Mahmud’s brother recovered 

At least 55 acres of illegally occupied forest land by former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud’s brother Ershad Mahmud have been recovered.

The Forest Department conducted a drive after Monday noon and recovered the land located at Sukhbilas village under Podua union in Rangunia upazila of Chattogram.

Assistant Forest Conservator Maruf Hossain led the drive. 

Houses, farms and other establishments were built on the occupied forest land.

We will take all-out measure to evict grabbers from illegally occupying forest land, he said.
