Three die from electrocution in Noakhali

Three peole died after being electrocuted in separate locations in Begumganj Upazila of Noakhali on Monday (August 26).

The deceased were known as Jakir Hossain, 28, Md Ibrahim, 22, and Sabbir Ahmed, 16.

Locals said that electrical lineman Jakir went to Aminbazar area to restore electricity on Monday noon. Meanwhile, he died on the spot after being electrocuted by a damaged wire lying in the water.

Another lineman Md Ibrahim went to Mirwarishpur area around 5:00pm. He also died after being electrocuted there.

On the other hand, Sabbir Ahmed, a student went to Begumganj Textile Institute to distribute relief goods among flood-hit people. He was accidentally electrocuted and died on the spot.

Begumganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Anwarul Islam confirmed the matter.
