Swechasebak Dal leader among 2 killed in Bogura

Two people were killed when miscreants attacked them in Gokul Bazar area under Sadar upazila of Bogura on Monday night (September 9).

The deceased were known as Mizanur Rahman Mizan, 37, Convener of the Swechasebak Dal’s Bogura Sadar upazila unit, and Ledu, 35, hailed from Gokul Dakkhinpara.

BNP leaders and activists said that there was a dispute among Mizan, Ledu and recently expelled BNP leader Bipul. Following the dispute, Bipul attacked on Mizan around 9:00pm, leaving them injured critically.

Later, locals rushed them to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared them dead.

Bogura Sadar police station OC Saihan Oliullah said couple of police teams are conducting drive to arrest the suspected murders.
