Former-MP Fazle Karim arrested while attempting to flee

Former MP of Raozan (Chattogram-6) ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury has been arrested while allegedly attempting to escape the country.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested him from Akhaura border on Thursday morning (September 12). Meanwhile, two other people were also arrested along the MP.

Sarail Battalion BGB-25 Commander Lt. Col. Farah Mohammad Imtiaz confirmed the matter.

He said that a patrol team of BGB arrested three people from Abdullahpur border area when they tried to cross the border illegally.

On Aug 5, amid a march to Dhaka by the protesters, Awami League President Sheikh Hasina fled to India after stepping down as prime minister. Subsequently, most government ministers and senior Awami League leaders went into hiding.
