Mob killing is not good for us: Information Adviser

Nahid Islam, the Information and Broadcasting Adviser of the interim government, said we are noticing that mob justice and mob killings are taking place in different parts of the country. People are being killed in the incidents like lynching. This is not a good thing for us.

The adviser said this while talking to reporters after distributing relief goods among the victims in Begumganj upazila in Noakhali on Friday (September 20).

He said we have forced a dictatorship to leave the country through unity and movement. We must maintain our unity. We have to create a new Bangladesh through unity.

Nahid also said that Bangladesh is still going through a crisis period. Conspiracy is going on. That’s why we have to work jointly for the country.

In reply to a question, he said the government doesn’t support mob justice or mob killing. Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident in Dhaka University. Eight people have been expelled by the administration in the Jahangirnagar University incident.
