Youth `beaten to death` in Chattagram

A youth was beaten to death allegedly miscreants in Panchlaish Thana area of the port city Chattogram.

The deceased was known as Mohammad Shahadat, 24, son of Mohammad Harun.

The incident took place on August 14 but the issue came to light on Sunday (September 22).

Police and local sources said couple of youths were seen beating a youth in the area on August 14 with the music of a song. After confirming the death, they left the body of the victim in front of a hospital and fled the scene.

Chattogram metropolitan police (DMP) deputy commissioner Raich Uddin said after checking the video, the victim’s wife identified him. A case has been filed in this regard.
