Ex-MP Fazle Karim placed on 2-day remand

A Chattogram court on Tuesday (September 24) granted a two-day remand for former Awami League lawmaker of Raozan ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury in an attempted murder case.

Judicial Magistrate Nurul Harun passed the order when Inspector of Raozan Police Station Siddikur Rahman produced Fazle Karim before the court this morning with a five-day remand prayer in the case.

Earlier on August 23, Organizing Secretary of Muniria Youth Tabligh Mohammad Alauddin filed the case against 68 people including Fazle Karim with Raozan Police Station on charge of carrying out an attack and vandalism on the office of Muniria Youth Tabligh.

Fazle Karim was Awami League MP from Chattogram-6 constituency (Raozan). He won the 12th parliamentary election for the fifth consecutive time.
