8 arrested over inciting unrest in Ashulia

Joint forces have arrested eight people on charges of provoking unrest at garment factories in Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka.

They were produced before court after showing them arrested in a case on Tuesday (September 24).

Earlier, they were detained during the drives conducted in various areas of Ashulia yesterday.

The arrestees are Dewan Abdul Hai, 52, of Ashulia; Md Zahidul Islam, 24, of Ashulia; Md Rabbi Mia, 25, of Tangail, Md Mizanur Rahman, 38, of Chapainawabganj; Zahidul, 38, of Chapainawabganj; Md Shukkur Ali, 40, of Ashulia, Rony, 27, of Tangail and Shahaparan, 33, of Cumilla. 

Abu Bakar Siddiq, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ashulia police station, said that eight people have been arrested and later sent them to court.
