Father, daughter found dead after 24 hrs of missing

Bodies of a man and his daughter were recovered from Dhaleswari river in Singair of Manikganj on Thursday morning (September 26).

The deceased were known as Mohidur Rahman, 50, and his daughter Rafsa, 12.

Earlier on Wednesday, Rafsa went missing while learning to swim in Dhaleswari river in Manikganj. While trying to rescue her, her father also went missing.

Later, on information, a unit of Singair Fire Service and a diving team of Aricha River Port Fire Station rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations. But after much searching, they were not found.

Locals started rescue work again this morning. Around 8 am, they found the bodies at Kheyaghat area.

Singair fire service station Officer Ishtiak Ahmed confirmed the matter.
