Fire on oil tanker at Ctg port

A fire broke out on an oil tanker anchored at Chattogram Port on Monday (September 30) morning.

The ship, named ‘Banglar Jyoti’, caught fire while it was anchored at Dolphin Jetty No. 7 of Chattogram Port around 11:15am.

According to the fire service’s Chattogram divisional office, eight firefighting units rushed to the spot after being informed and started dousing the flames.

The ship is owned by the Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC).
