Train services resume on Dhaka-M’singh route after 8.5 hours

Train services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh railway route have resumed after eight and a half hours following the recovery of a derailed bogie of the intercity Brahmaputra Express and the repair of damaged tracks at Dhola railway station in Trishal, Mymensingh.

The train services became normal at around 6am on Wednesday (October 2).

The bogie had derailed at about 9:30pm on Tuesday near the railway station, halting train operations on the route.

Sub-Inspector Kartik Chandra Roy of Gafargaon railway police outpost said after the recovery of the derailed bogie, the train left for Dewanganj at around 2:15am. Train services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route resumed at 6am following the repair of the damaged tracks.
